Today there's an seemingly endless variety of fruits and vegetables that can be used to create tasty and nutritious drinks on the go. Vegetables such as spinach, kale and crisp celery can be added for even more vitamins and minerals. Many of these fruits and veggies are rich in vitamins C and K and have antioxidant properties.

Easy delicious and nutritious smoothie recipe:

• ice (fill blender with the amount needed to achieve the consistency you want).  

• one cup milk (use your favorite kind)

• eight large strawberries. Don't forget to remove the stems. 

• one large banana

• one quarter of an apple for added sweetness.  Use your favorite variety. 

Pulse ingredients in blender until desired consistency is reached.  

Pour and enjoy!

Optional: add various greens like spinach and kale or seeds such as flax and chia for extra vitamins and minerals.
